SWARTHMORE, Pa.--Swarthmore College Men's Basketball sophomore forward
Zack Yonda earned Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon after an efficient performance in a 2-0 weekend for the Garnet.
Yonda, who is receiving Player of the Week accolades for the second time this season, scored 48 points in just 49 minutes of action in the wins over Earlham College and Wells College. Yonda scored 25 points against Earlham and then added 22 against Wells. Yonda shot 68.2 percent from the floor, including 50 percent from beyond the arc, and made all 12 of his free-throw attempts this weekend. He also averaged 5.5 rebounds and was named to the Garnet Holiday All-Tournament squad.
Swarthmore improved to 9-0 to start the season with the pair of wins and will be back in action on Jan. 3 at Delaware Valley College.
