Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

Mission Statement

As members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Swarthmore College, our mission is to:

- Promote varsity athletics as a valuable part of the collegiate experience;

- Take steps to increase overall campus awareness of varsity athletic events;

- Cultivate and strengthen ties between the varsity athletic community and the larger Swarthmore community through SAAC sponsored endeavors;

- Support and act as a resource for Swarthmore varsity student-athletes through formal meetings that are open to all Swarthmore varsity student-athletes;

- Act as a liaison between student-athletes and the athletics administration to address concerns and resolve any conflicts, through regular communication;

- Encourage student-athletes as both individuals and teams to continue to cultivate strong relationships within the athletic community.
